EMarketer estimates the total U.S. market for mobile advertising will reach $6.5 billion by 2012. The U.S. will continue to be the most dynamic region for mobile Web advertising because of its position as the largest interactive economy. The large overall size of its interactive economy means that the U.S. offers far more opportunities for cross-media efforts. That is why U.S. mobile ad spending is projected to reach $1.7 billion in 2008 from $878 million in 2007.
