$5.6M cleanup plan for Superfund site in California approved

The EPA has authorized a $5.6 million plan to clean up the Omega Chemical Superfund site in Whittier, Calif., where solvent and refrigerant recycler Omega Chemical operated from 1976 to 1991. Under the plan, nearly 200 businesses considered to have had a role in the site's contamination will pay for the cleanup.
