Republican call for constitutional ban not likely this year:

Iowa House Minority Leader Kraig Paulsen, R-Hiawatha, in reaction to the marriage decision, said the Legislature should enact a constitutional marriage ban. But Senate Majority Leader Michael Gronstal, D-Council Bluffs, said the introduction of any new measures so late in the legislative session, which is likely to wrap in about two weeks, would be "exceedingly unlikely" to happen this year.
