Study: Cutting sugary drinks aids weight loss

Cutting one serving of sugary beverage a day can lead to weight loss of 2.5 pounds over 18 months, researchers say. "Weight loss from liquid calories is greater than loss of calorie intake from solid food," said the lead researcher, who noted that the body is better able to regulate its solid food needs.
