Swiss money-laundering watchdog sees rise in activity

Switzerland's Money Laundering Reporting Office said reports of suspicious activity rose and the percentage of incidents referred to prosecutors increased slightly last year, to 81%. Assets that were potentially involved in money laundering hit an all-time high in 2008, reaching $1.64 billion, twice the 2007 figure, according to the office.
