Lean startups get attention from fat cats

Joshua Niamehr started a New York laundry-scheduling service with $5,000 and some spare time between college courses. Today, LaundryLocal.com is growing about 15% a month and has launched in California. Niamehr says he is proud to be part of the "lean startups" movement, empowered by virtual workers and cloud technology. Even venture capitalists are noting the trend, seeking out lean startups and making small investments they once would have shunned.
