Air France asks staff to accept "drastic" cost cuts

In order for its short- and medium-haul operations to remain aloft, Air France workers must accept "drastic" cost cuts, the airline said Monday. Air France is looking to reduce its costs by 20%. "The goal is to return to break-even for point-to-point service in 2013 and for the entire short and medium haul business in 2014," the carrier said in a statement.
