Do companies know what to do with their chief innovation officers?

Research shows a growing number of companies have executives in charge of innovation, but many don't have strategies in place to support their efforts, according to a study by Capgemini Consulting and the IESE Business School. "Chief innovation officer is still a very new title within corporate America and beyond, and companies do not know exactly what to make of it on average," said Peter High of Metis Strategy.
