IBM to debut upgraded version of flagship database solution

IBM has introduced upgraded versions of its DB2 relational database management program and InfoSphere data warehouse software, designed to significantly reduce storage needs and improve performance. The upgrades, which will be available April 30 and represent the first major changes to Big Blue flagship database software in four years, are a response to changing customer requirements in the era of Big Data, the company said.
