Eurozone inflation eases further in March

Reflecting the misfortunes of the eurozone economy, the region's consumer inflation rate eased to 1.7% in March from 1.8% in February. The latest rate is well below the European Central Bank's target of just under 2%. However, the reading is above the 1.6% projected by economists and is not expected to prompt the central bank to further adjust its key interest rate of 0.75%.
