IFA study reveals 1 in 7 franchises is veteran-owned

One out of seven U.S. franchises is veteran-owned and more than 66,000 franchise businesses owned by veterans provide jobs for 815,000 workers, according to an IFA educational foundation study. The IFA offers incentives for veterans to enter the franchise industry through programs such as IFA-sponsored Operation Enduring Opportunity, which has placed 64,000 veterans and military spouses in franchising careers and has brought 4,300 new franchisees into the industry since the program began in November 2011.
