Survey: Laptops lead in retail research, stores still rate for sales

Female shoppers are increasingly starting their pre-buying research on gadgets, with 71% opting for laptops and 18% picking up mobile phones and tablets, according to the SheSpeaks/Lippe Taylor Women’s Buying Behavior Index. Only 6% begin their research in stores, but the gap closes when it comes to making the purchase -- 47% buy online while 45% percent close the deal in brick-and-mortar stores.
