Use of Google's "Jelly Bean" Android increases with new data metrics

Google has changed how it counts device use of its various operating systems, now basing the number on stats derived from visits to the Google Play store, rather than on check-ins to Google servers, Emil Protalinski writes. By the new reckoning, 25% of Android users have Jelly Bean, 29.3% use Ice Cream Sandwich and 39.8% "are stuck with Gingerbread," Protalinski writes.
