Women in Aviation event introduces middle-school girls to STEM

More than 500 middle-school girls recently spent a day at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University campus in Florida, performing science experiments and learning about career options. University faculty and students provided the middle-schoolers with hands-on learning opportunities such as making a lava lamp from a bottle and inflating a balloon with baking soda and vinegar.
