AMD, Mentor to tackle low-power embedded computing

Advanced Micro Devices and Mentor Graphics have completed a multiple-year agreement that will make the Mentor Embedded Linux distribution available for the chip company's forthcoming AMD Embedded G-Series "Steppe Eagle" system-on-a-chip device and AMD Embedded R-Series "Bald Eagle" accelerated processing units and CPUs. Mentor will provide at no cost a Mentor Embedded Linux Lite platform for evaluation.
