CFATS bill clears House subcommittee

A House Homeland Security subcommittee unanimously approved an amended bill that would reauthorize the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards program of the Department of Homeland Security. The bill includes some of the proposals raised since its introduction in February and now has the support of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which also oversees the CFATS program.
