Excessive running may shorten life expectancy, study says

An analysis of data on more than 3,800 runners 35 and older found that those who engaged in high-mileage running appeared to have a shorter lifespan than moderate runners, though the reasons were unclear. The study was presented at the annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology.
