Toby Bloom explains where the N.Y. Genome Center is headed

Toby Bloom serves as the New York Genome Center's deputy science director of informatics after managing data warehousing and business analytics at the Broad Institute for more than a decade. The NYGC is not simply a fee-for-service sequencing center; it is a research center with research projects of its own as well as for its 17 member institutions. "[W]e are putting in place all the infrastructure, the regulations and security, data use agreements, and everything we need to be able to ... let researchers come to one place and get all of the clinical data they need," Bloom said.
