Chevy's DIY ads backfire

Chevrolet offered consumers the chance to customize ads for its Chevy Tahoe SUV, but many of those who availed themselves of the opportunity took the automaker for a ride, making sarcastic, caustic and politically charged versions of Tahoe spots criticizing SUVs. Despite this, Chevrolet plans to continue with the promotion.
