Construction spending reached record high in February

Despite slowing home sales, construction spending hit the record-high level of a seasonally adjusted rate of $1.185 trillion in February, according to the government. The increase came as home building hit an all-time high, and the 0.8% increase from January exceeded the 0.5% increase that Wall Street had predicted.
