Education construction starts increase, report says

Construction starts for the U.S. education sector are on an upward trend, according to a report by McGraw-Hill Construction's Research and Analytics group. The report noted that education square footage grew 5% in 2005 and 4% in 2006. More than 73,000 education projects broke ground between 2001 and 2006, according to the report. However, rising costs for energy and construction materials could cause cost overruns and delays.
