Seattle superintendent finalists named

Two finalists were named Tuesday in the search for the next chief of Seattle Public Schools: Maria L. Goodloe-Johnson, Charleston County (S.C.) Schools superintendent and former special-education teacher, and Gregory Thornton, School District of Philadelphia chief academic officer and adjunct education professor. An educator has not helmed Seattle Public Schools since 1995.
