Amadeus introduces platform focusing on value, service

Instead of focusing on schedules and pricing, Amadeus's new Airline Retailing Platform concentrates on the value and services offered by airlines and travel agents, according to the GDS. "The platform takes the best elements of the traditional indirect distribution, which is the global reach and the access to the higher yielding channel, and the best of the online direct distribution channels," said Owen Wild, marketing director at Amadeus.
