FBI says $240M taken in online scams in 2007

While the number of online scams was down, the total dollar amount lost to cybercrime rose $40 million to total $240 million in 2007, according to a report from the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center. Victims older than 60 lost an average of $760 per online scam, while twentysomething cybercrime victims lost an average of $385 per incident.
