White House approves completion of presidential helicopter

The White House now expects the VH-71 presidential helicopter to cost $4.4 billion more than initial estimates. It has approved completion of the contract, which is led by Lockheed Martin. Increased costs and funding cuts have delayed the second phase of the program.
