ONC allots $25M in HIT funds to support community hospitals

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology said it has added roughly $25 million in funding for regional extension centers to provide technical assistance to small rural and critical access hospitals in implementing electronic health record systems. ONC said it hopes to award the additional funds by mid-June.
