Atlantic City pier concrete rubble gets new life in Ocean City

Concrete rubble from Atlantic City's Garden Pier in New Jersey will be dumped off the coast of Ocean City to create an artificial reef. The state's Fish and Wildlife Department will dump 6,000 cubic yards of concrete columns and pedestals to support marine life living in Great Egg Harbor Reef. The rubble is what's left of the pier's seaward end after a 1944 hurricane.
