When making a presentation at a networking meeting, arrive early to check equipment for audio and video and get familiar with the room, suggests Chuck Flagg, independent owner and operator of Cruise Holidays in Canton, Ga. He also suggests writing up your introduction and having someone else do the honors. "Remember the purpose of networking groups is to grow and maintain a sales team for everyone in the group," Flagg writes. "You want them thinking of you and only you when they run across someone who would be helped by your services."
