A strong CSR strategy should be at the center of Barnes & Noble's efforts to avoid bankruptcy, argues Raz Godelnik. A new focus on the triple-bottom line could make the firm's locations attractive to eco-savvy "New Consumers," creating brand loyalty the struggling company needs. "Sustainability is not a magic bullet, but right now it may be B&N's best chance to avoid bankruptcy," Godelnik writes.
