New doctors place more emphasis on work-life balance

The culture of medicine for younger physicians is changing, partly brought on by industry economics, and they are choosing to work fewer hours to have more personal time. Some physicians are working part time, choosing specialty fields that offer more regular work hours or taking a salaried job as the practice of medicine changes to become team-based rather than a solo affair.
