Provider alliance expresses views on ACO proposal

Premier hailed some provisions of the CMS' recently released accountable care organization proposal, such as allowing ACOs to adopt different payment schemes and giving providers access to Medicare data. The provider group, however, called on the CMS to add to its final ACO rule a policy to reduce disincentives for participating teaching facilities and other hospitals serving low-income populations, among other recommendations.
