Chevron faces second $11B lawsuit in Brazil over offshore spill

Chevron and Transocean are facing another $11 billion lawsuit from a Brazilian prosecutor -- this one relating to a March offshore oil spill in the country. The suit was filed because of the alleged environmental damage from the incident, according to the federal public prosecutor's office in Brazil. The second lawsuit "is another in a series of outrageous actions ... all of which are without merit," said Chevron spokesman Kurt Glaubitz.
