Deal connects more of Connecticut to Boston sports

A carriage deal between NESN and Charter Communications will bring Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins games to more of Connecticut. The deal includes subscribers in Litchfield and New Haven counties, putting NESN in all parts of Connecticut permitted to air Boston team games. "The Red Sox are about to begin the 2012 season and the Bruins are readying themselves for the start of the playoffs to defend the Stanley Cup, so the timing couldn't be better," said Sean McGrail, NESN's president and CEO.
