Discovery's Planet Green to become Destination America

Destination America will be the new name and theme of Discovery Communications' 4-year-old Planet Green channel. The new format, which will launch on Memorial Day, May 28, will focus on American natural history, food, travel, home and adventure "with the grit and tenacity, honesty and work ethic, humor and adventurousness that characterize our nation," according to Discovery. The new network, which will be aimed at adults 25 to 54, will make its debut in 59 million households.
