Local online advertising to overtake print in 2013, report says

Local online advertising increased 21% in 2011, and it will overtake local print advertising in the course of the next year if the trend holds, according to a Borrell Associates report. "If the digital growth spurt continues through 2013, online media will hold the largest share of local advertising, toppling newspapers for the first time in history," the report notes.
