U.K. study finds thyme may be effective in treating skin acne

U.K. researchers looking at the effect of thyme, marigold and myrrh on the bacterium that causes acne found that all three killed the bacterium after five minutes of exposure, but thyme was the most effective. In addition, the thyme tincture showed a greater antibacterial effect compared with standard concentrations of benzoyl peroxide.
