Mozilla argues token exchange is more secure payment system

Mozilla is offering a JavaScript application programming interface that promotes the idea of a common payment system for mobile and desktop apps. "The question to ask here, of course, is why bother, given that online payments don't seem to be a major issue for users and developers, thanks to services like PayPal and Stripe," Frederic Lardinois writes. Mozilla says developers and consumers might prefer its method of exchanging tokens rather than providing credit card information.
