OSHA to investigate fall of roofing contractor in N.J. township

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the building inspector in Hamilton Township, N.J., will investigate an incident that happened during a roofing project at a residential site. A section of the third-story roof gave way, sending a roofing contractor tumbling into the attic. The crews appeared to have carried a heavy load of shingles onto the roof, which may have contributed to the collapse. Firefighters rescued the worker, who suffered minor injuries.
