Wash. health agency confirms possible data breach

The Department of Social and Health Services in Washington state reported a potential data breach that compromised the health information of 652 clients. The incident occurred when a laptop computer owned by Dr. Sunil Kakar, a private contractor, was stolen and later found at a pawn shop in February. Compromised data included client names, birth dates and partial Social Security numbers.
