Maine Senate rejects 2 bills involving wind projects in unorganized territory

The Maine Senate rejected two bills this week that involved wind projects in unorganized territory. The first bill would have reinstated a longer zoning process, which was replaced in 2008. The second bill would have allowed communities two years to ask the state to remove their area out of the expedited zone for wind projects.
