Minn.'s $1.1B transportation plan includes 308 road projects this year

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is slated to work on 308 road construction projects worth $1.1 billion this year, according to a department official. A similar docket is expected next year, and is about what the state spent last year. "We have a pothole issue in the state, but that represents the short-term issue," said Charlie Zelle, the state's transportation commissioner. "It underlines infrastructure needs that need a long-term solution."
