Airlines try to curb frequent-flyer miles trading

Frequent-flier programs prohibit the sale or trade of rewards and actively work to catch offenders, but the practice is popular among consumers and business travelers who find a market for frequent-flier miles on eBay and craigslist. Airlines may send warning letters and even terminate membership of consumers caught selling frequent flyer miles or trying to beat the system.
