Hundreds of drones help fight insurgents, prevent attacks in Iraq

The military is using more than 700 drones to track insurgents, prevent roadside bombings and launch missile attacks in Iraq, the New York Times reports. Four years ago, the military had only a few of the remotely piloted airplanes. During the next decade, the military will spend more than $13 billion on drones.
