Tennessee bill would let home-schooled kids play on school teams

New legislation before the Tennessee General Assembly would, if passed, give students who are home-schooled and those in small private schools the chance to participate in public high school sports and extracurricular activities. Opponents feel allowing such access would make team eligibility requirements tough to verify, plus, they contend, the families opted out of those activities when they chose to pull their kids from public school.
