Firms dislike GDS interfaces, go in different direction

Destination activities distributor Viator is the latest example of a company that has ditched the global distribution system in favor of another venue because the user interface is easier for travel agents to navigate. Viator has now teamed up with ARC, which is controlled by the airlines and operates the airline settlement system, to sell nonair products through travel agents.
