Maryland resources don't cover individual crane inspections

The two deadly crane collapses in New York and Florida in the past two weeks have stepped up the focus on crane regulations around the country. In Maryland, officials say they would not have the resources to inspect each and every tower crane when it goes up. Inspectors say the rate of tower crane failures is so low that inspectors typically focus on other hazards.
