GAO chief names 13 members to health IT policy panel

Gene Dodaro, interim comptroller general and chief of the Government Accountability Office, has chosen 13 people who will serve on a new policy panel that will advise the HHS secretary and the head of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. Paul Tang, vice president and chief medical information officer of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in California, and Judith Faulkner, president and CEO of Epic Systems in Verona, Wis., are among the members of the Health Information Technology Policy Committee.
