Cloning of horses is hotly contested among breeders, associations

The practice of cloning to replicate champions is a subject of much debate among horse breeders and the associations that register the animals. While some see the practice as a lucrative way to all but guarantee the next generation of prize winners, many say it's a shortcut that shouldn't be allowed. Some associations have banned registration of horses created through cloning.
