Extra pregnancy weight is tied to obesity later on

A study found that women who gained too much weight during pregnancy were twice as likely to be overweight years after delivery and had a more than fourfold increased risk of being obese, even if they exercised during pregnancy or breast-fed their baby. Researchers said more study is needed on factors that contribute to excess weight gain during pregnancy and how to limit it.
