How environmentally focused schools are using technology

Several environmentally focused charter schools are embracing technology as part of their curriculum to prepare students for high-tech careers in environmental sciences. One school recently conducted a project-based lesson on water quality using video cameras and hand-held computers equipped with sensors, editing their data in Google Docs and using Wikimapia to showcase their findings in a larger context. Other schools are using technology tools to promote conservation messages in the community.
